It’s been a minute since the SoCal Sessions crew got our beer antennas to tingle. Beer, great beer, is such an essential element to the culture of San Diego that over time it easy to get used to just having the best of the best at our
finger tongue-tips pretty much all day, every day, everywhere. Double IPAs, Barrel-aged Blends, Sours for days, yeah we got those. Show us something we haven’t seen and immediately poured down our highly-tuned gullets.
It’s why when the San Diego Homebrew Festival and Competition
popped up on our radar some sort of radio wave tripped our triggers. Homebrew, the future of San Diego (and beyond’s beer). Some of these brewers will likely stay homebrewers, but some will go further. This could be the first chance to try the next great local brewer before they mortgage house and home to put a deposit down on that industrial space big enough for a 4-tank brewing system, canning line and mandatory barrel-aging room.
So we’re going to go. Join us. The festival benefits local Jefferson Elementary. As always, hi-fives for those of you epic enough to handle it.
